We have the pleasure of playing with John Chandler and crew at America’s Soul Live again! It was such a unique musical experience and so much fun, I am just so pleased to be joining them again. The show is at the Olde Town Pickin’ Parlor in Arvada on May 15th, doors open at 7pm. John hosts America’s Soul Live every month and always has talented guest artists for this intimate and unique show. The story behind this song:
Hey guys, Julia here. The inspiration for this song came from a word that had been buzzing around in Gunny’s head for a while, “burst”. As we talked about the idea over coffee, I realized that was exactly what I had been searching for in love and hadn’t found. Some one who made me feel like I could burst! I was fresh off of my first craigslist dating experience, (I know, what was I thinking???) and tired of the whole scene. So we put together this song, inspired by what the “real deal” would feel like…

About the song: 
DEVOTION is a tune Gunny and Klaus started a couple of years ago that started out a little Country, with a Shania Twain kinda feel. When Julia became a part of the songwriting mix, the tune took on a bluesier Bonnie Raitt edge. The finished version will be on THE LAST FLIGHT OUT’s next EP (yet untitled) to be released in May of 2012.
